With new legislation surrounding voting, new polling places and new ways to vote we offer this as a helpful resource in voting and making your vote count.  Click on links below for more information on:

 
Registering to Vote​ - deadline has passed

  • The last day to register to vote for the September 1st, State Primary was August 22, 2020.

Mail-in Ballot Applications

  • The last day to request mail in ballots for the September 1st election was ​August 26

Mail-in Ballot Receipt and Voting -now use the drop box

  • Wellesley is holding a dual election on September 1. Please make sure to put the correct ballot in the appropriate envelope (State Primary ballot versus Town Special Election ballot.)

  • Ballots may be dropped off at the Elections and Payment Drop Box outside of Town Hall (across from the bell). ​​A new larger ballot drop box has been installed at Town Hall by the Department of Public Works to accommodate the high number of completed ballots. 

  • Brown ballot envelopes must be signed to be counted!  ​​​​​

  • To be counted, Vote-by-Mail ballots must be returned to Town Hall no later than September 1st at 8:00 pm.  Vote-by-Mail ballots may not be returned to in-person polling locations.

  • Voters who apply for, but do not receive a ballot, or who receive a ballot but do not return it can still vote in person.

 
In-Person Early Voting

  • In-person early voting has passed.  You can still vote on election day.

 
​​​​​Voting on Election Day - September 1st

All precincts will be open for in-person voting on Tuesday, September 1 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

 

Due to Coronavirus concerns, polling locations for some precincts have changed. 

The Board of Selectmen voted on August 4, 2020 to locate the polling locations at non-school sites. The locations and links to Town of Wellesley files with further information about each site are below.

  • Precincts A (Bates), B (Sprague) and C (Upham) are moving to the Municipal Light Plant at 4 Municipal Way.

  • Precincts D (Schofield) and E (Fiske) are moving to the Warren Building at 90 Washington Street.

There are NO CHANGES at the other precincts:

  • Precinct G will vote at the Wellesley Free Library at 530 Washington Street.

  • Precinct H will vote at the Tolles Parsons Center - Council on Aging at 500 Washington Street.
