I would like to announce my candidacy for a seat on the Board of Selectmen.  A special election is scheduled for September 1st to fill the seat vacated by former Selectman, Jack Morgan.

I am a 22-year Wellesley resident and have been honored to serve on many town boards and committees, including the Central Council of PTOs, the Town's Audit Committee, and as a member of Town Meeting. Please click here to read more about my background and qualifications to serve in this important position in our town government.

As we navigate a period of continued uncertainty resulting from the global COVID-19 pandemic, social change in response to racial discrimination, and ongoing climate disruption, Wellesley faces unprecedented challenges.  In this difficult environment, Wellesley must continue to manage its major strategic initiatives, including the building of new elementary schools, developing new housing opportunities, and managing long term obligations, all in a fiscally, environmentally and socially responsible way.

My experience and working style are a good fit for what Wellesley needs now.  By nature I am a calm, polite yet persistent collaborator. I want to be part of the team that listens carefully to citizens' concerns and charts a path forward for all.

Please feel free to contact me on any matter of interest or concern to you. I can be reached at electcoletteaufranc@gmail.com
