I am delighted to continue serving Wellesley’s Select Board!
With so many elections in the last year, I have a renewed appreciation for voters who continue to engage - especially in local elections. Thank you to all of my supporters who voted for me in this election.
Once again, I could not have done this without the repeated and extended support of my campaign team - a mere three months after the election on September 1st, my amazing team restarted the campaign engine and got right back in the saddle! To my dedicated campaign manager, Stacy Braatz; my senior advisor, Wendy Paul; my treasurer, Todd Himstead; and committee members Phyllis Theermann, Matthew McKay and Christine Mizzi - a huge thank you!
Special appreciation to Eunice Groark and Mason Smith for leading my sign team - all of whom carried ice picks, mallets, shovels, staplers, tape and mittens in their toolkit for weeks! For digging signs out of snowbanks, replacing many lost and buried signs, and simply being the best yard sign wranglers in town I am immensely grateful. To the many sign holding volunteers who bundled up in the frigid temperatures - my most sincere appreciation!
Thank you to my advisory board and to the countless board members, department heads, Town Meeting Members and friends who spent hours and hours and hours in conversation over the last year relaying to me what matters to Wellesley and to them. To my friends who supported my campaign with endorsements, contributions, hosting yard signs, and holding signs at polling places in the cold and the rain.
Finally, and most especially, I would like to thank my husband, children, and extended family for continuing to support me in every way.
Running in an opposed race makes me better prepared for the ongoing work of the Select Board. Thank you to my opponents for their willingness to serve Wellesley, and I look forward to working with Ann-Mara Lanza on the Select Board.
I remain committed to listening carefully, deliberating thoughtfully, and to valuing all perspectives. I will work hard to serve Wellesley these next three years.
